Founded in 1978, Pegasus Floats has grown from building our very first horse float to becoming one of Australia’s most trusted manufacturers of premium horse floats, goosenecks, truck bodies and special-application vehicles. For more than four decades, we have remained committed to craftsmanship, innovation and the safety and comfort of both horse and rider.
Proudly family-owned and operated in Montrose, Victoria, every Pegasus product is custom built in-house. This hands-on approach ensures strict quality control at every stage of construction and allows us to tailor each vehicle to the unique needs of our clients. Pegasus Floats was founded by John and Helen Nicholls, who brought together Helen’s lifelong passion for horses and John’s engineering expertise in aviation and marine industries. Their son, David a panel beater by trade, joined the business in 1997. With over 27 years knowledge of manufacturing and horsemanship, alongside John, David continues to drive the company forward while honouring its family values and commitment to quality. With solid technical experience and a genuine understanding of horses, our team ensures that every customer receives expert guidance when choosing models, features and options.
